All Academic Game

The All Academic Game is for players that have not yet committed to a school and have been invited to participate in the tryouts to be held October 11th.

Players will be given an opportunity to tryout in front of the selection committee and College Coaches.  Upon completion of tryouts, selected players will be named to participate in All Academic Game on Thursday night.  Academic players do not have to be on a roster of an AZ Senior Fall Classic team to participate.

Please check back later for more details about Academic eligibility for this event, or contact us for more information.

Testimonials:

"The Arizona Fall Classic does a nice job assembling not only the highest quality
academic kids available but also many of the most talented players to play in
the All-Academic Game. It is a rare event where coaches from academic
institutions can finally evaluate EVERY player on the field without wondering
about their academic standing. For the players chosen to play in the game, they
are able to showcase their skills in front of many of the country's finest
schools. It is a must see for us here at ____________ ."

"I attended the Arizona Senior Fall Classic Academic Game for the first time in 2010. I will definitely be back in 2011. The talent pool was strong, and the game and scout packets were well organized. I counted at least 40-50 coaches in attendance."

"This is a great event. One of the best "High Academic" events of the summer. This event is getting better and better each year."

"I would like to thank you guys for the brilliant idea of having the Academic Game.  Obviously this venue allowed many of the higher level academic schools to watch uncommitted, quality players with excellent grades compete!  As a result of this one game, my son was inundated with interested schools from all over the country.

I am writing to inform you that my son, Michael Erb, signed a NLI to play baseball at Villanova University.  Thank you again for your vision in organizing and conducting the Academic Game, and indeed, for the entire tournament in Arizona!"

George Erb, PT

"We are just following up regarding the Academic Game last fall.  My son, Kyle Moyes, has narrowed his choices to University of Puget Sound and Whitman College.  Both are a result of the academic game.

It was a great experience and a wonderful opportunity."

The Moyes Family

"I wanted to thank you guys, that game was one of, if not the best baseball experience that Nick has had."

Craig Saathoff

"The Arizona Academic game was a great benefit to my son Sean Spicer.  Many coaches watched him pitch and while we were still in the airport waiting to go home he had 3 calls from major colleges.  He will be playing for Baylor in the Fall.  I credit the Arizona Academic Game for all of his offers!"

Cinda Spicer

"I was very impressed with the  amount of scouts in attendance at Academic Game. It was the highlight of the trip. Ross is talking to TCU, Texas A&M and Texas State."

Shane Vance

"My son Brett Watanabe (Team Hawaii-Gold) was fortunate to have been a part of the Arizona Academic Game in 2009.  He has been contacted by coaches from Harvard University, Grinnell College (Iowa), Haverford College (Penn), Trinity College (Texas), University of Puget Sound (Washington), Claremont Mckenna and Pomona College (Calif).  Really good academic schools.  Some of the coaches saw Brett play at the Academic game.  I think you should continue the Academic games to showcase the players with high academic achievements.  It's also great for the parents who have spent alot of time developing their son's baseball and academic skills.  It was definitely a proud time for my wife and me."

Curt Watanabe

"Our son David graduates high school in June 2010 and heads to Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas in early August and is on a select team for what summer he has [remaining].  The AZ Fall Classic Academic All Star Game was a good boost for David in that he was being looked at as a pitcher and after making it into the All-Star game as a first baseman, Tech has given him the opportunity to be a two-way player.

Thanks for all you have done. Your AZ Fall Classic Academic All Star Game is easy to recommend."

Gene & Anne Gerdes

"I am going to Villanova in the fall and it is all because the coaches saw me at the Academic game. They contacted my coach, Chuck Fick from the Red Cardinals and from there we started talking. I am very thankful for having the opportunity to showcase my talent in Arizona. Everything seemed to come together for me there and I feel really good about it."

Josh Flyer

"I just wanted to let you know that I committed to West Point. I really enjoyed everything about the Academic Game and it was one of the key reasons I got picked up by West Point. I just thought I would let you know. I really enjoyed pitching in the game."
